About us
The team and our mission
Our main objective is to facilitate the full and effective participation of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder in society, promoting their inclusion in different areas of life to facilitate job opportunities.
Proyecto Azul Foundation is currently focused on a project labor integration of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), through the creation of a Special Employment Center in the Region of Murcia.
This project, due to its pioneering and experimental nature, has been organized as a university scientific project and as such it has been raised before the Chair of Autism at Queen's University in the United Kingdom, whose director, the Professor Katerina Dounavi, has agreed to assume its leadership.
Our mission
The main motivation of the project is to provide a job opportunity to some groups of disabled people. Preparing fruit and vegetable baskets is a repetitive and meticulous task, which is perfectly adapted to the integration of people with ASD (autism spectrum disorder). This is a group that has few job opportunities, so the project would represent a great advance in their labor and social integration. The project would also include other groups with a disability of at least 33%, such as people with Down syndrome.
It is a commitment to a more active integration of people with disabilities.
Beyond being just a work center, the project contemplates creating a true integration center in the medium term, where people can work and live. They will receive job training, therapies, and will have personal accommodation.
